Earn Your CPA Designation

width= I'd like to ask a question about the Professional BBA -Accounting Program

Certified Public Accountant

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is one of the most recognized professional designations in the world and to earn it, candidates must sit for and pass the Uniform Certified Public Accountant Examination. Tennessee and many other states require candidates sitting for the CPA exam to complete 150 hours of academic credit from a regionally accredited college or university prior to sitting for the exam.

Since Belmont's undergraduate accounting degree requires a minimum of 128 credit hours for graduation, this means that students must complete a minimum of 22 credits beyond what is required for the undergraduate degree, as well as any specific course requirements required for the CPA exam. In many cases, it may be a better option for you to pursue the Master of Accountancy degree (MACC).

Look below and select the best option for earning your CPA designation while also earning a Belmont degree. Please be sure to consult the Board of Accountants in the state where you intend to take the exam for specific requirements, as these can vary between states.
