Prior to coming to Belmont in 1992 as the Chair of the Art Department, Jim Meaders taught painting for a total of 13 years in South Carolina, Georgia, and West Virginia.
His work has been exhibited in both juried and one-artist exhibitions in Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Alabama, Georgia, Virginia, West Virginia, Utah, California, Washington D.C., Massachusetts, Missouri, and Tennessee. Jim stepped down as Chair in 2003 to go back to full-time teaching and currently teaches the Painting course and 2-D Principles of Color. My passions are teaching, painting, and writing.Degrees:
