Parent Information

Parents may contact Counseling Services for information on how we might be helpful to your son or daughter. We will be happy to discuss our services with you and provide some tips on how to encourage your son or daughter to make an appointment.

Please understand that, according to federal and state law,  we cannot reveal information about any individual unless he or she provides written permission. When a counselor believes your son or daughter presents as an imminent danger to him/herself or others, the counselor may contact you directly without written consent.

If you are concerned about your son or daughter's mental health and well-being, please feel free to contact the Counseling Office at (615) 460-6856. The office is open from 8 am-4:30 pm Monday through Friday. For emergencies after hours or on the weekends, please call the Office of Campus Security at (615) 460-6911.

You may also contact the Student Concerns program to document your concern.
