The College of Visual and Performing Arts is composed of the School of Music, Department of Art, and Department of Theatre and Dance. The School of Music offers nine majors leading to the Bachelor of Music, the Bachelor of Arts with a major in Music, the music minor, and five majors leading to the Master of Music. The Department of Art offers a Bachelor of Fine Arts in studio art, design communication, and art education, as well as the Bachelor of Arts with a major in Art and the art minor. The Department of Theatre and Dance offers the Bachelor of Fine Arts with four areas of concentration (performance, directing, production design, theatre education) and the Bachelor of Arts with a major in Theatre, as well as the theatre minor and the dance minor. The college offers degrees that are designed for students who wish to prepare for professional careers in the arts or graduate school in art-related areas as well as the general liberal art degree and minors.
