Scholarships and Endowed Funds

I would like to know more about applying for an endowed scholarship.

I would like more information on creating an endowed scholarship.

What is an endowment? Graduation

Endowed funds differ from others in that they are truly the gift that keeps giving.  Instead of the entire amount of the gift being spent outright, the total amount of the gift is invested.  Each year, only a portion of the invested income earned is spent while the remainder is added to the original principal.  An endowment is a perpetual gift because only the interest is used to support the Univeresity while the principle continuously grows.  Always equated with excellence and long-term strength, endowments are absolutely essential if we are to remain a leader in education and in the Nashville community.  Please consider creating an endowment for Belmont University.  It is a great way to link your legacy with our future forever.

You can support Belmont's students, faculty or campus by establishing an endowed fund.

Supporting Belmont Students through Endowed Scholarships

An endowed scholarship provides a permanent and personal way for you to make a difference in the life of a Belmont University student.  Most of our students depend on some sort of financial aid to achieve their dreams of a college education.  You can help turn their dreams into reality, now and in the future, by establishing an endowed scholarship fund.

Supporting Belmont's Faculty through Endowments

A powerful tool for attracting and retaining preeminent faculty are endowed chairs and professorships.  These endowments secure Belmont University's future by obtaining outstanding faculty who in turn attract the best students.  Endowed faculty positions represent an important recognition of scholarly excellence as well as provide competitive salaries and resources.

Supporting Belmont's Campus through Endowments

Endowments support both the creation of new campus buildings and facilities as well as the restoration of Belmont's icons - the Belmont Mansion and Bell Tower.  To find out more about current projects on campus, click here
