Jason Lovvorn (Ph.D., Vanderbilt University) enjoys getting students to look at the world with fresh insights. His writing classes at Belmont often address issues of literacy, culture, technology, and nature. In addition, many of his classes involve a commitment to service learning in the Nashville community. His academic interests include composition and rhetoric studies, New Literacies, spatial theory, and electronic/new media, and he has published scholarly work on literacy history, online gaming and learning, and digital storytelling.
