bold-moves-2018-large

BOLD Moves is a program of the values-driven, multi-level framework that will be used to align and centralize leadership development programs and opportunities across campus. Once students complete the challenge they will move further into the first of four levels of engagement, the Beginning- Aspiring Leader level. Through these programs students will gain the experiences they need to enhance their capacity to lead and serve ethically.

During LEAD Week the Belmont Office of Leadership Development -BOLD and facilitators from across campus will guide 80 students through an intensive eight-day interactive leadership development experience, the BOLD Moves Leadership Challenge.  BOLD Moves participants will be introduced to the five practices of exemplary leadership and will focus on the first practice- Model the Way from The Student Leadership Challenge by James Kouzes and Barry Posner. Students will immediately put what they’ve learned into practice by providing a combined 2500 hours of service in just three days as they help 3200 Belmont students move into their dorms during Move-In Days.
