Belmont Univeristy Songwriter's Association
Belmont University’s Songwriter’s Association (BUSA) exists to further the community of songwriters at Belmont University and Nashville by bringing student writers together with each other and with professional songwriters in a fun, informative, and positive learning environment. Students learn from each other and from guest writers to become better at their craft and better equipped to be successful in the industry and in making the world a better place with their songs.
Through BUSA, Belmont students have the opportunity to play their songs for each other and for industry professionals at weekly meetings, writers’ nights and publisher critique sessions. Students will have the opportunity to network and co-write with one another and to gain experience exploring different styles and genres of music in an encouraging environment.
BUSA is involved in the greater Nashville songwriting community by hosting a chapter of the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI) exclusively for Belmont students.
BUSA also works closely with the Songs of Love Foundation which is a “nonprofit organization dedicated to providing personalized songs for chronically and terminally ill children and young adults.”
MEMBERSHIP CRITERIA
