Grease - Belmont Musical Theatre

The Musical Theatre Major is designed for students who exhibit exceptional performance potential in musical theatre. This degree program provides concentrated study in singing, acting and dance for students interested in pursuing performance careers in musical theatre.

Belmont University Musical Theatre students are finding success on Broadway, Off-Broadway, in excellent regional theatres, on National Tours, working with top tier cruise lines and in theme parks and summer stock.  Our students are being complimented on their professionalism, talent, and knowledge of what is expected for success in the Musical Theatre industry.  It is often noticed that Belmont Musical Theatre graduates are excellent musicians with advanced skills in sight-reading and harmonic singing. They also have a working knowledge of vocal health, evident in their longevity, versatility, and strength during long performance runs.

Belmont Musical Theatre is well connected with the Nashville arts community.  We have an official partnership with the critically acclaimed Studio Tenn Theatre Company and many of our students and alumni are hired to perform in their productions.  Belmont Musical Theatre students and alumni have also studied with the Nashville Ballet and have worked with several other local professional theatre companies including the Nashville Repertory Theatre, the Nashville Shakespeare Company and Street Theatre Company.
