Lindsey Schroeder

Lindsey Schroeder will take on the role of 'Bonnie Parker’ at Matthew’s Playhouse in Bonnie and Clyde. She is thrilled to be making her debut at Matthews Playhouse! Hailing from the high seas, she just completed 3 years at sea with Carnival Cruise Line. Lindsey graduated from Belmont University with a degree in Musical Theatre, and has since traveled around the world performing in equity theatres, tours, operas, theme parks (Carowinds!) and casinos. Her favorite past roles include: 'Annie' in "Annie Get Your Gun", and 'Maria' in "West Side Story". Lindsey just launched her own private voice and piano studio in the heart of Queen City and is excited to share her love of music with new students!

Belmont graduate, Neal Buckley is currently in the International Tour/Chinese Premiere of LEGALLY BLONDE, the MUSICAL. He will be playing Pforzheimer and performing in the ensemble. Neal is a student of Nancy Allen and received a BFA in Musical Theatre.

Belmont Grad Kara Farmer Haller '09 will join the Broadway producation of School of Rock in Fall 2018 as the assistant dance captain and swing after performing the same role on the first national tour of School of Rock!

"In the middle-eastern town of Agrabah, Princess Jasmine is feeling hemmed in by her father’s desire to find her a royal groom. Meanwhile, the Sultan’s right-hand man, Jafar, is plotting to take over the throne. When Jasmine sneaks out of the palace incognito, she forms an instant connection with Aladdin, a charming street urchin and reformed thief. After being discovered together, Aladdin is sentenced to death, but Jafar saves him by ordering him to fetch a lamp from the Cave of Wonders. Where there’s a lamp, there’s a Genie, and once Aladdin unwittingly lets this one out, anything can happen! Will Aladdin’s new identity as “Prince Ali” help him win Jasmine’s heart and thwart Jafar’s evil plans? Will the Genie’s wish for freedom ever come true?"

Belmont Musical Theatre is excited to announce that Ben Laxton has joined the cast of The Book of Mormon on Broadway. Ben, a student of Nancy Allen and Marjorie Halbert,  has had success in several national tours and is now making his Broadway debut September, 2016.

Belmont graduate, Nathan McHenry, won the prestigious 2016 Ostrander Award for Best Actor in a Musical.  Congratulations Nathan!

Chris Lee

Chris Lee was recently cast as Kaleb on the CW’s popular vampire series “Legacies”. He also appeared recently as a guest star on Fox’s “Empire” and has a recurring role on Showtime's “The Chi”. Prior to his actor career taking off, Lee performed the role of Lafayette/Jefferson in Hamilton in Chicago.

Erik Christensen is currently in the workshop of the new musical “PopStar” in New York City.  Since graduating from Belmont in 2012 he has performed in the production shows aboard the Oceania Regatta Ship with Gary Musick Productions.  He has sung in Solo Cabaret as the guest entertainer with Oceania Insignia.

Nolan is currently sailing on board the Carnival Victory as their Male Production Singer. His current position requires him to convincingly showcase multiple vocal styles and rep. He is thankful for the versatility his Belmont training provided him with. He is also grateful that his job gives him the opportunity to meet up with multiple Belmont MT Alums who are also working at sea! There is so much truth in the statement "Belmont- from here to anywhere!"

Belmont alum Jenna Burns ('14) will be reprising her role of Maria on the West Side Story Centennial World Tour '16/'17 after a record-breaking run at Asolo Repertory Theatre in Sarasota, FL last fall!


Maggie McDowell Stallings, Class of 2011

Belmont University congratulates Maggie on her Broadway Debut in Seth Rudesky’s "Disaster," currently on Broadway! Prior to being cast in this hilarious comedy, Maggie was touring the country in the National Tour of "Kinky Boots."


Douglas Waterbury Tieman, Class of 2012

Belmont alumn Douglas Waterbury Tieman ('12)  is currently performing in the Off-Broadway production of "The Robber Bridegroom" with Steven Pasquale, produced by the prestigious Roundabout Theatre Company:

"I am so lucky to be part of Roundabout Theatre Company's production of Robber Bridegroom. I play fiddle, mandolin guitar and a little harmonica in the onstage band. I also get to sing and do some clogging. It is such a thrill to go to work everyday. I was recommended for the band by a good friend of mine who I worked with at Flat Rock Playhouse. I got that gig with the help of my agent, and I signed with my agent after they saw me in the Belmont Sr. Showcase.  Everything is connected, and I'm proud to be Off-Broadway by way of Belmont."

Annabelle graduated from Belmont in 2014 and since has performed at the Paper Mill Playhouse, the York Theatre, The Town Hall (NYC), Broward Stage (FL), Feinstein's/54Below, the Hangar, The Laurie Beechman, The Triad, and the Vital Theatre. She recently got back from touring the country as Junie B. Jones (right) and is about to embark on a new adventure and sign with Cyd LeVin & Associates! Alie B. Gorrie, Class of 2015

After landing two Off-Broadway productions right out of school (Flight School and Pinkalicious), Alie B. Gorrie (’15) is now touring the country with the Theatreworks USA National Tour of Seussical! Alie B.
