Our program prepares you to launch into a career offering specialties in critical care, maternal-infant health, emergency care, pediatrics, geriatrics and more.
The School of Nursing strives to give each student an educational experience that will prepare every student to be an excellent nurse. Belmont Nursing students use our state-of-the-art laboratories to prepare for clinical experiences.
Because we are located in Nashville, we have access to hospitals and clinical agencies that rank in the top 100 in the country. Our students have experiences in a variety of sites, including:
- Vanderbilt Medical Center
- Centennial Medical Center
- Parthenon Pavilion
- St. Thomas Hospital
- Baptist Hospital
- Southern Hills Medical Center
- Summit Regional Medical Center
- Skyline Medical Center
- Middle TN Mental Health Institute
Students are also able to practice in primary care sites including:
- Waverly-Belmont Family Clinic
- Matthew Walker Comprehensive Care
- Metro Nashville Public Health Department,
- The Davidson County public school system
- Franklin Special Schools District
- Catholic Charities
- Alive Hospice
- World Relief
In addition, students have the opportunity to study health care off campus through the Nursing Externship and the Cambodia Study Abroad courses.
