About  Dr. Ireland

 Dr. Gordon Ireland has thirty five years of pharmacy and healthcare experience. His clinical specialties are Geriatrics and Clinical Pharmacokinetics with professional experience in community pharmacy, inpatient medicine, critical care, ambulatory care, long term care, family practice, and establishing clinical pharmacy services in various hospitals.

His academic positions include Assistant Professor of clinical Pharmacy at the University of Maryland, Assistant Professor of Clinical Pharmacy at St. Louis College of Pharmacy, Associate Professor with the Division of Geriatric Medicine, St. Louis University Medical School, and Clinical Associate Professor with a community family practice office in Maryland, where he managed the medical care of patients with chronic conditions (diabetes, h ypertension, asthma, anticoagulation therapy, and hyperlipidemia). His last position was as V.P. of Clinical Pharmacy Services for MedAssets, Inc.

Dr. Ireland has participated in advisory committees, speakers' bureaus, and has consulted with various pharmaceutical companies, hospitals, long term care facilities, managed care organizations, and colleges. He has published numerous articles and presented nationally and internationally on a variety of health care topics.
