About  Dr. Hudgens

Dr. Hudgens is a cum laude graduate from Auburn University's Harrison School of Pharmacy in Auburn, AL. While pursuing her degree, Dr. Hudgens was actively involved in the American Pharmaceutical Association, American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, and Vice Regent of Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity.

After obtaining her Doctor of Pharmacy degree, Dr. Hudgens completed an ASHP specialty residency in Primary Care at Grady Health System in Atlanta, Georgia. During this time, she gained experience in providing indigent care in pharmacist-run clinics that manage hypertension, dyslipidemia, asthma, Hepatitis C, HIV, smoking cessation, and diabetes. She also developed and implemented a plan for an outpatient heart failure clinic. After her residency, Dr. Hudgens worked as a clinical pharmacist for Saint Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN before joining Belmont University School of Pharmacy.

As Coordinator of Experiential Education, Dr. Hudgens' responsibilities include developing experiential education practice sites and adjunct faculty orientation, training, and development. As Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice, Dr. Hudgens will teach Pharmaceutical Care and precept students during Introductory and Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences.
