Why did you choose Belmont?
I started thinking about going here when I was a junior in high school, when you start looking at places to go to play a sport. I visited bigger schools, and I just really felt that those didn't fit my personality at all, so I came to Belmont during fall break when there were no students or faculty here. I came with my mom and coach, and after meeting with some of the athletic staff, I just fell in love with it. It was a perfect fit.

With which campus activities were you involved?
I was a Towering Traditions Tower Team leader my sophomore year; I participate in FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) some. You know, golf is a hard sport. You don't have much time to devote yourself to anything full time. Golf just takes up most of my time.

How has attending Belmont benefited you?
I think the most beneficial thing has to be the relationships I've made during my time here. At bigger schools, I think it's harder to make connections and meet a lot of people you'll be able to stay in contact with when you leave the school. The support I've felt at Belmont has been incredible.

How was your relationship with the faculty?

That's something that you're really nervous about when you're playing a sport because you're gone so much, especially with golf. You don't have just one season, you have fall and spring that you're devoting to your sport and playing in tournaments and traveling. When all those tournaments are on the same day (as classes), you're going to miss those classes. I was nervous about missing class and (my professors) not making the effort to help me out, but I have not had one issue at all. They've been great. They ask how my tournaments are, they're really interested in what I'm doing and how well I'm playing.

How has attending Belmont helped you?
I'm going to take so many things away from Belmont. The connections that you make. I've met many people that will help me in my career through Belmont. People in career services have helped me out incredibly by leading me in the right direction as to what I feel I'm best at. And I think that what I'll take with me is the education that I've gotten and the help I've received from professors, which has been incredible.

What was it like being a Belmont student-athlete?

I've just experienced so much. You know, when you're younger playing golf, it's just so different when you come to a college. You have your team, you have your coach, and the support you have from the is just incredible. We've traveled a lot together. I've realized from Belmont that I can't see myself leaving here and not playing golf competitively any more. If I would have hated playing golf here, I wouldn't want to touch a club again, but I've just loved every minute of it. My calling right now is to continue playing golf. Belmont golf has been incredible, and I can't wait to see where it takes me in the next few years.

What are your plans after graduation?
Right now, I want to play golf professionally for a couple of years. There's a tour called the Futures Tour that's kind of like a stepping stone to the LPGA (Ladies Professional Golf Association), so I kind of want to that for a couple of years and see where that takes me. If that doesn't work out, that's fine. I'll hopefully go to graduate school. My degree is in healthcare management. I want to have a career in the health industry, maybe in hospital administration. I just really want to play golf right now. I can't see myself not playing golf right now for a couple years. After that is an open book right now.
