Application Instructions:

1. Complete the entire Degree Seeking Application thoroughly. An incomplete application cannot be considered and will be returned to the applicant.

2. Submit the application fee of $50. Checks or money orders should be made payable to Belmont University.

3. Provide the Confidential Recommendation Form to the appropriate person as designated on the form and have the reference send the form directly to Belmont. Students should pay special attention to the instructions regarding who should complete this recommendation form.

4. Complete the Personal Supplement and attach your answers to the Essay Questions and your Resumé of Activities. Be sure to include your full name, address and birthday on each page. Transfer applicants do not have to submit the Resumé of Activities.

5. Request that official transcripts be sent from the high school directly to the Office of Admissions. For a transcript to be official, it may not be marked “Issued to Student”. Transfer applicants who have earned 30 or more transferable hours of credit from a regionally accredited college at the time of application do not have to submit a high school transcript. A nursing applicant must be a licensed registered nurse or have a previous bachelor’s degree to be exempt from this requirement.

6. Request that official SAT-1 or ACT score reports be sent directly to Belmont. (Belmont’s ACT code is 3946 and the SAT code is 1058). Belmont does not consider Writing test scores from either the SAT or ACT. Test scores will be accepted as official if submitted on an official high school transcript. Transfer applicants who have earned 30 or more transferable hours of credit from a regionally accredited college at the time of application do not have to submit test scores. A nursing applicant must be a licensed registered nurse or have a previous bachelor’s degree to be exempt from this requirement.

7. Provide the Secondary School Report Form to the appropriate person in your guidance office and have him or her send the completed form directly to Belmont. Transfer applicants who have earned 30 or more transferable hours of credit from a regionally accredited college at the time of application do not have to submit the Secondary School Report Form.

8. Request that official transcripts from each college or university attended be sent directly to Belmont. If you are currently enrolled in your first term at an institution, you should request that the college or university send a “Letter of Good Standing” in lieu of a transcript.
