Why did you choose Belmont? I chose Belmont initially because of the Music Business program, but when I came to visit campus for a Preview Day, that’s when I really fell in love with Belmont as a whole, not just the Music Business program. The way Belmont values service, the smaller class sizes to enhance the learning environment, the experiential learning opportunities, and the faculty and staff that go out of their way to make sure that the needs of the students are met were the important things that I knew were going to give me the best education possible while studying something I love in a city that I love.

Why did you choose to be a Tour Guide? As a freshman, I was SO ready to start this new journey at Belmont, but had no idea just how incredible it was going to be. Belmont has pushed me and helped me grow in areas that I didn’t know had any room for growth, like my faith, confidence, passion for serving others, and love for this university. I chose to be a tour guide so I could share my story with prospective students of how much Belmont has changed my life and show them how it can do the same for them.

What is your favorite on-campus event? FALL FOLLIES! It’s Belmont’s own version of Saturday Night Live where students perform songs and skits that poke fun at various things about the university.

What is your favorite movie? Pitch Perfect

What is your favorite song & artist/band? My favorite song is “The Proof of Your Love” by For King & Country and ”Merry Go Round” by Kacey Musgraves | My favorite artist is Carrie Underwood

What would you want to be your last meal on earth? My 3 food groups are Mexican food, Pizza, and Dessert. So any or all of those things would work.

What is your favorite Nashville experience? Walking the pedestrian bridge downtown at night! It’s so cool to see Downtown from that view.

What is your dream career after graduating from Belmont? To work for a major record label in the A&R department that basically helps sign talent to the label and oversees the entire album making process for the artists on the label’s roster. I want to work in either Country or Christian music!

What is your favorite class that you have taken at Belmont and why? Music Publishing, because I am able to get direct experience in something I am working towards building a career in.

If you could go back in time and give advice about college to 16-17 year old you, what would you say? I would say tell him to follow his dreams and do what he loves. I would tell him that God has a plan for him to flourish and make an impact in ways that he cannot even imagine thanks to Belmont. I would also let him know it will be the greatest adventure of self-discovery and growth he could imagine, and it goes by way too quickly, so cherish every single moment from the second he steps on campus.
