Overview
Wright Hall is a traditional residence hall located in the South Village area of campus. It houses 288 freshman female students. The lobby of Wright hall is shared by Maddox hall and students from both buildings can be found hanging out there playing pool, watching TV, studying, or talking.
Facilities & Amenities
Wright hall rooms are triple occupancy and has community-style bathroom facilities. Each room in Wright has its own sink with cabinets and drawers underneath. Rooms are furnished so that each resident will have one bed, one set of drawers, one desk, and one desk chair. Voicemail, internet and cable hook-ups are available in each room. Individual heating and air units are in each room and are controlled by the residents.
On the main floor, there are no residence rooms. Instead this floor contains the Residence Director’s apartment and office, the Office of Residence Life, and laundry facilities (eight washing machines and eight dryers). Wright shares a main lobby with Maddox Hall. The front desk and the mailboxes are located in the lobby. There is also a large-screen TV, a pool table, and plenty of couches and chairs to relax in or hang out in while talking with friends. There are three residential floors in Wright Hall.
Staff
Wright has 6 Resident Assistants (RAs). Two RAs are assigned to each floor, one on each side. RAs are available to provide peer guidance, develop community building activities and floor programs, and serve as a resource to students. RAs report to the Residence Director (RD). The RD is a full-time, live-in employee of Belmont University. The RD has a Bachelors degree, and in some cases, a Masters degree. The RD is responsible for the administrative details of the building, including maintenance requests, discipline, supervising the RAs, and serving as a resource for students. The RD Office and apartment are located on the main floor near the elevator.
