The Hillside apartments are a traditional apartment style campus housing option located in the Hillview community. Hillside Phase I opened in Fall 1998, and Phase II opened in Fall 2002. Hillside housed upperclassman students and is a great place to learn how to transition into the real world after college.
The Hillside has 28 four-bedroom/two-bathroom units and 160 two person, two-bedroom/two-bathroom units. All apartments are fully furnished with the following items: sofa, chair, coffee table, and bookshelf in the living room; twin bed, dresser, desk, and chair in each bedroom. All apartments also have the following amenities: dishwasher, microwave, full-size refrigerator, washer, and dryer. In addition, each bedroom has internet hook-ups and cable provided. The living room also has cable provided. All utilities, cable service and internet service, are included in the cost.
The Hillside clubhouse, located between buildings 1 and 2, is open from 10am -10pm Monday-Saturday. The front desk is located there along with the mailboxes. There is also a lounge area with couches and a TV.
Hillside has 12 Resident Assistants (RAs). One, and in some cases, two RAs are assigned per building. RAs are available to provide peer guidance, develop community building activities and resident programs, and serve as a resource to students. RAs report to the Residence Director (RD). RD is a full-time, live-in employee of Belmont University. The RD has a Bachelors degree, and in some cases, a Masters degree. The RD is responsible for the administrative details of the building, including maintenance requests, discipline, supervising the RAs, and serving as a resource for students. There are 2 RDs for the Hillside, one for buildings 1-5 and the other for buildings 6-9. The RD offices are located in the Hillside clubhouse and the RD apartments are located in buildings 1 and 6.

All mail is placed in student mailboxes by mail services each day (there is no mail delievery on the weekends or federal holidays). Package notifications will be sent to your Belmont email address and should be picked up at the Mail Center at the corner of 12th and Acklen Ave.
If you change rooms, it is your responsibility to complete a Change of Address Form with the Mail Center. It is also your responsibility to notify any family, friends, creditors, banks, etc. of your change of address.
