Potter Hall opened its doors in the fall of 2008 and is modeled after Kennedy and Thrailkill halls. Rooms may be either double or triple occupancy and it is part of the North Lawn community.
Potter rooms measure 16' x16' and are suite style. Rooms are furnished with 2 twin beds (height adjustable), 2 dressers, 2 wardrobes, 2 desks, and 2 chairs. Rooms that are triple occupancy will have 1 more set of furniture. Internet and cable hook-ups are available in each room as well. Individual heating and air units are in each room and are controlled by the residents. Every room has tile floors. Triple rooms have an additional set of furniture.
There is a lobby on the main entrance floor with the front desk located to the side of the lobby. Vending machines are available on the lobby level. Laundry is located in the basement and is shared with Patton and Bear House. The facility is located directly behind Hail Hall.
Potter has 6 Resident Assistants (RAs). One RA is assigned per floor. RAs are available to provide peer guidance, develop community building activities and floor programs, and serve as a resource to students. RAs report to the Residence Director (RD). The RD is a full-time, live-in employee of Belmont University. The RD has a Bachelors degree, and in some cases, a Masters degree. The RD is responsible for the administrative details of the building, including maintenance requests, discipline, supervising the RAs, and serving as a resource for students. The RD Office is located behind the front desk, and the RD apartment is located off the lobby.
