Legislative Branch
The role of Congress is to serve as representatives for all Belmont students. Each congress member is required to serve on at least one SGA committee:

Judicial Review
Community Service
Policy Review
Finance
All Congress members must be in good standing with Belmont University. Congress members run for office in the fall and/orspring elections, and are elected by the Belmont student body. All legislative powers of the Student Government Association are vested in the Student Congress.
Congress Meetings are held every other Monday night at 5:00p.m. in the Multi-Media Hall in the Bunch Library. All Congress meetings are open meetings to any Belmont student, faculty, and staff members that wish to attend, but only Congress has voting power.
