Study Abroad in Turkey Scholarship for Minority Students

The Turkish Coalition of America (TCA), in cooperation with Diversity Abroad, are awarding grants in the amount of $2000, $1000, or $500 for undergraduate and graduate students who have been accepted to a study abroad program in Turkey or Cyprus for an academic year, semester, or summer. Eligibility: U.S. citizens accepted to study for a semester at a Turkish University; must be willing to share experience with Turkish Coalition of America Deadline: Rolling admissions Application: Diversity Abroad

Institute for International Public Policy Fellowship Program

The purpose of the fellowship is to increase the representation of minorities in international affairs and global public policy in the government, private and non-profit sectors. Offer a 7-week summer global policy institutes and subsequent study abroad experience with a focus on international affairs. Eligibility: U.S. Citizen or legal resident, self-identified as underrepresented student (African-American, Hispanic, Asian-American, American Indian, Alaskan Native, Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander); minimum 3.2 grade point average; strong demonstrated interest in international affairs, public policy and language training; plan to pursue master’s degree Deadline: Usually in March, suspended by US Congress in 2012 Application: UNCF Special Programs
