Credit Hours Required for Graduation

You'll need a total of 128 credit hours minimum to graduate from any of Belmont's undergraduate adult degree programs--and our flexible transfer credit policy puts you well on on your way.

  • A minimum of 32 hours must be completed at Belmont.
  • At least 64 hours of transfer work must come from a four-year institution.

Transfer Credit Policies

In general, Belmont University accepts transfer credit from any regionally accredited institution, as long as the course is not remedial or developmental, a nonacademic orientation course or institutional credit by examination. Belmont University accepts credit from any institution regionally accredited through the Southern, Western, Northwest, New England, North Central, or Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.

Transferred grades of “D” may not be used for major, minor, or general education requirements.

You may be able to transfer credits from:
