Biography

I recently earned my PhD in Astrophysics from Vanderbilt University. My work uses computer simulations of large slices of the universe to study how galaxies change and evolve through interactions. In order to work with large-scale simulations, I’ve partnered with data scientists and computer scientists to gain the necessary skills to analyze large and complex datasets.

Previously, I earned two B.S. degrees from Louisiana State University in both Applied Math and Physics with a minor in French. I am originally from Louisiana, and while I love cajun food and LSU football, I’ve fallen in love with Nashville.

I joined the Belmont community in Fall of 2021 teaching general physics classes as well as acoustics for audio engineers. Simultaneously, I worked through Vanderbilt’s Program for Talented Youth as a mentor for high school students to learn how to manipulate a variety of astronomical datasets. I love working with students to give them the diverse set of skills needed to solve big problems with data.
