Biography

Maria Papadopoulos, OTD, serves as an assistant professor and has extensive experience in inpatient rehab settings and in providing specialized care for members of the U.S. military. Currently, she performs clinical work at Tristar Skyline Medical Center in their inpatient rehab unit, where she has worked since 2019. She has also worked with U.S. Army service members at Fort Campbell, helping retiring soldiers prepare for the transition to civilian life at Intrepid Spirit Center and helping active-duty soldiers maintain combat readiness through the Holistic Health and Fitness Program. Maria graduated from the Belmont OTD program in 2019 and joined the faculty full-time as an assistant professor in 2026 after previously serving as an adjunct professor. She also provides occupational therapy services and community outreach through Belmont's Flourish Mobile Clinic.

Maria's areas of clinical expertise include sleep readiness, TBI/concussion care, and vision rehab treatment. Outside of her professional life, Maria enjoys arts and crafts, traveling (preferably to a beach), and spending quality time with friends and family.
