Belmont University Hosts Community Night 2024

February 1, 2024 | by Allison Fomby

Each year, the Curb Event Center comes to life as members of the Nashville community find their way into its seats to cheer for the Belmont Bruins. The tradition, known as Community Night, provides an opportunity for neighbors and friends to attend a basketball game, eat dinner and participate in a variety of family-friendly events for free.

Community Night 2024 was held on Jan. 31, with over 1,000 people in attendance. Complimentary tacos, chips and drinks were served just before the tipoff of the Belmont Bruins vs. the Indiana State Sycamores.

Hosted by Belmont’s Office of Community Relations, Community Night is open to area neighborhood organizations, residents’ associations, schools, churches and youth and senior serving organizations.

Community Day was initiated in 2009 when over 80 people from the neighborhood attended in its first year. The time-honored tradition is now a community favorite, with nearly 3,000 attendees since year one.
