Teen Art & Design Program

Summer Studios

summer-studios-2.jpgSummer Studios is a week-long program that offers teens the opportunity to cultivate technical skills in art and design with an emphasis on problem solving, designing, communicating and creating. Students will engage in two studio classes with choices available in architecture, art, fashion, graphic design, and interior design, as well as participate in seminars led by industry professionals and college faculty. Students will also have time to develop their work during supervised open-studio time.

summer-studios-4.jpgThis program provides a rigorous art and design school experience, with students engaging in critiques as they work toward an exhibition at the conclusion of the program. Students have the option to engage in the full college experience by staying in the dorms and eating in our dining halls for the week. We will provide evening programs for all students staying on campus in the dorms, including a field trip to experience the best Nashville has to offer with an architecture and art tour of the Frist Art Museum and visit to Assembly Food Hall.

Program applications are due by May 12th
