2024 O'More Fashion Show

On Friday, April 19 The O’More College of Architecture and Design will present their annual Fashion Show in the Curb Event Center at 7:30 p.m.  The Show is a highly-anticipated event where a rigorous Fashion Design education culminates in an impressive showcase of collections as diverse as the student designers who create them.  The event is a launching pad for emerging designers and groundbreaking talent, providing an up-close look at original designs that are innovative in terms of style and technical execution.

The Juniors were challenged with creating human-centered design capsules, and Seniors have been immersed in their year-long research and execution of work.  The evening will include a reveal of collections where students drew inspiration from music, dance, personal life experiences, the Victorian era, and the positive impact that fashion can make in the lives of individuals.

In addition to providing an education that prepares graduates to compete successfully in the demanding fashion industry, we also believe in the transformational power of design.  After five years we are excited to bring back our partnership with GiGi’s Playhouse a Down syndrome achievement center.  The nonprofit organization provides free programs that are educational and therapeutic in nature to individuals with Down syndrome from birth through adulthood, their families and the community.

Thirteen of our Junior design students were paired with a teenager with Down syndrome from ages 14-18.  By developing a relationship with them first, the students began to better understand their individual likes and needs.

Our new friends will grace the runway with their custom garments designed by our talented students.

Our mission-based approach differentiates us from other programs, and partnering with CreatiVets is providing another opportunity for purposeful design.  The organization’s goal is to provide opportunities for healing in the forms of art, songwriting, visual arts, music and creative writing for men and women who have graciously served our country.  Eight of our sophomore design students will be taking inspiration from artwork created by four military veterans that will highlight how art, fashion and music can come together in the gift of storytelling.

Join us for an incredible evening of beauty, artistry, craftsmanship and care for others.
