Biography

She / Her / Hers

Degree/Training: B.S. in Human & Organizational Development from Vanderbilt University; M.Ed in Human Development Counseling from Vanderbilt University. I am currently a temporary Licensed Professional Counselor, Mental Health Service Provider in Tennessee.

Years Working with BUCS / Responsibilities: 1.5 years. I was a BUCS intern in the 2020-2021 school year, and I began working full-time with BUCS Spring 2022. My responsibilities include meeting with individual clients, running several groups, and managing the Belmont Counseling Instagram (@belmontcounseling).

Areas of Clinical Interest: Relationship Issues, Anxiety, Grief & Loss, Family of Origin Issues, and Self-Compassion. I find that human connection creates safety so we can explore our inner world. Through a caring, nonjudgmental relationship, we can meet ourselves with a fresh lens and begin to try new ways of being.

Hometown: Pittsburgh, PA

When I'm not working, I enjoy: I love to cook, take long walks outside, read thrillers, watch reality television, and travel. I also love to cuddle my dog, Teddy!

Favorite place on or near campus: My favorite place near campus is International Market! Their food is delicious, and I especially love their chicken wontons and Indian potatoes and chickpeas. I also love walking around Hillsboro Village and getting a Crumbl cookie or a coffee at Barista Parlor.

Self Care Tip: Self-care for me changes daily! Sometimes self-care looks like taking a nap, painting my nails, or spending time with friends. Whatever self-care means to you, make sure you're checking in with yourself to meet your physical, emotional, and spiritual needs and do something that restores you.
