Biography

She/Her/Hers

Degree / Training: M.Ed candidate in Human Development Counseling from Vanderbilt University. B.S.Ed. in Recreation and Sports Management from University of Tennessee.

Years Working with BUCS / Responsibilities: I just started my master's level internship here at BUCS in August! I am excited to meet with students and do both individual and group counseling.

Areas of Clinical Interest: I believe in the power of connection. I love meeting people and learning what makes them who they are. My areas of interest include anxiety, life-transitions, substance use, relationship issues, depression, and self-compassion.

Hometown: Virginia Beach, Virginia

When I'm not working, I enjoy: I constantly have the travel bug and love to do weekend trips to explore different places! I really love spending time with my friends and family! I also love living in Nashville and being able to go to live music and live sporting events.

Favorite Place on or near Campus: I am currently obsessed with the campus cat Belle. It brings me a tremendous amount of joy just walking past her little hutch!

Self-Care Tip: Taking a deep breath. In general, I always remind myself that self-care looks different every day, sometimes it is just making my bed, other times it is taking a walk outside, going to a workout class, taking a nap, or going to get ice cream!
