Biography

He / Him / His

Degree / Training: Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in TN – Masters in Marriage & Family Therapy from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, TN

Years Working with BUCS / Responsibilities: I am approaching 5 years as a part of the Belmont Counseling Services Team. My biggest responsibilities on this team are coordinating our WELLCore/outreach events, supervising clinical interns, eating queso, and providing both individual & group therapy.

Areas of Clinical Interest: Anxiety, Enneagram, Spiritual Trauma/Deconstruction, and using IFS/Self-Compassion in therapy

Hometown: Cambridge, MN

When I'm not Working, I enjoy: Woodworking, yardwork, hanging out with my wife (Grace) & our dog (Rey), travel, food, the Boston Red Sox, and soccer!

Favorite Place on or near Campus: International Market…I could eat there three times a day for the rest of my life and be happy! I also love Bongo Java for some energy throughout the day!

Self Care Tip: I think for many of us including myself there is a sense of having a never ending to-do list and struggling to slow down for fear we may fall further behind. My tip is that taking a break to rest, or recharge, or doing something life-giving is worth more than the time spent doing it. Those things recharge our battery, increase our focus, and provide a new and fresh way of re-engaging with our responsibilities. Make time for yourself to do things that are restful and life-giving.
