Biography

Elizabeth Usman earned her B.A. degree in English literature, graduating summa cum laude from Boston University and her J.D. degree from Boston College Law School, where she held the position of articles editor on the Boston College Law Review and graduated Order of the Coif.

Before beginning a career in legal education, Professor Usman served as a law clerk to the Honorable Martha Craig Daughtrey of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. She also spent several years as an associate at the Boston law firm of Ropes & Gray LLP. Professor Usman teaches Legal Information and Communication I & II and Family Law.
