Biography

Dr. Jack Wengrosky earned his Doctor of Musical Arts at the University of Miami Frost School of music in Studio and Jazz Trumpet Performance. He has recorded 35 albums and performed with Cheap Trick, Estelle, Take 6, Barry Manilow, Naples Philharmonic, Sarasota Pops, Hugh Jackman, Gloria Estefan, Freddie Hubbard, and many more. He was the lead trumpet, soloist, and clinician with the Army’s premier touring big band, The US Army Jazz Ambassadors, touring 49 states and toured multiple countries with numerous groups, playing well over 2,000 concerts, hundreds of high school and college clinics, and appearances with 7 major symphonies including Baltimore Symphony, Cincinnati Pops, and the Boston Pops. Jack received his M.M. at the University of North Texas and a B.A. at Elmhurst College. Dr. Wengrosky is currently a Nashville recording artist, and the past musical director of the Music & Arts Big Band, and the Miami Arts Charter School in Homestead, Florida.
