Biography

 Dr. Robert B. Gregg is the Director of Orchestras for the School of Music at Belmont University. He has been a member of the Belmont faculty since 1984. Dr. Gregg teaches courses in conducting, music education, music literature, and music history.

Dr. Gregg received a Ph.D. in College Teaching and a Master of Music Education from the University of North Texas, and a Bachelor of Music Education from Oklahoma Baptist University.  Prior to his tenure at Belmont, Dr. Gregg was Assistant to the Dean of the School of Music at the University of North Texas. While at North Texas, he also served as the Assistant Conductor of Orchestras under Maestro Anshel Brusilow and Brass Choir Conductor.  Dr. Gregg was also a band director in Bowlegs, OK and choir director of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Shawnee, OK.

Dr. Gregg has been a guest conductor with the Nashville Symphony, the University of Central Florida Orchestra, the Tennessee Technological University Orchestra, the Tennessee Governor's School of the Arts Orchestra, and the Missouri All-State Orchestra.
