Biography

Wayne Causey is an Adjunct Instructor of Church Music at the Belmont University School of Music serving as Coordinator of Church Music Activities.  He teaches undergraduate and graduate classes in church music, and supervises student internship assignments.

Mr. Causey earned his Master of Church Music degree (double major in Church Music and Music Education) at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky and his Bachelor of Music Education at Stetson University in Deland, Florida. 

Mr. Causey is presently the Associate Pastor for Worship and Music at Forest Hills Baptist Church (Nashville, TN) and has served there since 1994.  He has taken the Forest Hills Sanctuary Choir to Europe on choral mission trips numerous times, singing in major cities throughout Ukraine, Poland and Italy.  Causey is an experienced choral clinician, and adjudicator for numerous choral festivals, and music camps. He holds membership in the following music organizations: American Choral Directors Association, Chorister's Guild, Music Educator's National Conference, Tennessee Music Educations Association, Tennessee Baptist Church Music Conference, and Baptist Church Music Conference.
