The Bachelor of Science in Public Health (BSPH) is designed to be completed in four years.

Students take general education courses, known as BELL Core courses, and Foundations of Public Health in the first year of the program. The public health curriculum allows up to 21 hours of electives and is a perfect choice for those interested in pre-health studies.  Students may choose to declare a minor or supplement the curriculum with courses of interest.

During their senior year, majors complete 400 hours with a host agency/organization where they gain practical experience in the field.  Students who transfer into the program will be advised with an individual plan to complete the program in a timely manner. If you are considering a transfer to Belmont University for public health, please refer to the suggested program of study for guidance on equivalent coursework and contact the Program Director Dr. Christian Williams ( with any questions!
