Are you interested in studying infectious or chronic diseases, environmental health, global health or epidemiology and their impact on communities and entire populations? Are you a big picture thinker interested in leading health care administration or impacting decision makers and policy?
Belmont’s Bachelor of Science in Public Health (BSPH) is for you.
Focused on developing lifelong learners and leaders, the program offers small class sizes, dedicated one-on-one time with faculty members, study abroad opportunities and guest lectures by renowned public health professionals.
Starting with your second year, you will complete core public health course requirements, including:
- Epidemiology
- Environmental Health
- Social Determinants of Health
- Introduction to Health Policy
Classroom activities are supplemented by rich field work experiences in research, health policy and community health settings both locally and abroad.
As a public health major at Belmont, you will work with interdisciplinary teams of students and professional colleagues in business, education, law, nursing, pharmacy, exercise science and social work to improve health outcomes for all people.
