Belmont University College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences' Doctor of Pharmacy program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education, 190 South LaSalle Street, Suite 2850 , Chicago , IL 60603, 312/644-3575; FAX 866/228-2631, website  http://www.acpe-accredit.org.

Students completing the Doctor of Pharmacy program must be licensed by each state professional licensing board prior to practicing pharmacy in that state. Some states also require licenses for students completing experiential rotations.

Separate from educational requirements for licensure, state licensure boards will require applicants to complete professional examinations, jurisprudence exams, and background checks. Additional requirements, including documentation of internship hours, may vary. Physical Therapy

The School of Physical Therapy at Belmont University is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE), 3030 Potomac Avenue, Suite 100, Alexandria, Virginia 22305-3085; telephone: 703-706-3245; email: accreditation@apta.org; website: https://www.capteonline.org. CAPTE is nationally recognized by the US Department of Education (USDE) and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). CAPTE grants specialized accreditation status to qualified entry-level education programs for physical therapists and physical therapist assistants.

Occupational Therapy

The Master of Science in Occupational Therapy degree program at Belmont University is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE); 6116 Executive Boulevard, Suite 200, North Bethesda, MD 20852-4929; 301-652-2682; www.acoteonline.org. Program performance data on the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) National Certification Exam for all schools is available on the NBCOT website. Social Work

The School of Social Work at Belmont University is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education’s Commission on Accreditation.

Accreditation of a baccalaureate or master’s social work program by the Council on Social Work Education's Commission on Accreditation indicates that it meets or exceeds criteria for the assessment of program quality evaluated through a peer review process. An accredited program has sufficient resources to meet its mission and goals and the Commission on Accreditation has verified that it demonstrates compliance with all sections of the Educational Policy and Accreditation Standards.

Accreditation applies to all program sites and program delivery methods of an accredited program. Accreditation provides reasonable assurance about the quality of the program and the competence of students graduating from the program.

Student Outcomes

Students completing the Bachelor in Social Work program are eligible to be licensed by many state professional licensing boards. Separate from educational requirements for licensure, state licensure boards may require applicants to complete professional examinations and background checks. Mental Health Counseling

MA in Mental Health Counseling

The Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP), a specialized accrediting body recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), has granted accreditation to the following programs in Belmont University’s College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences: the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program (M.A.) and the Marriage, Couples and Family Counseling Mental Health Counseling Degree Programs (M.A.).
