Biography

Dr. Kate (Claussen) Cook completed her Bachelor of Science and Doctorate of Pharmacy at Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN, obtaining her PharmD in 2015. After graduation, she transitioned into a postgraduate fellowship focused in drug information and toxicology with Belmont University College of Pharmacy and Aegis Sciences Corporation. During this 2-yr program, Dr. Cook served as an adjunct professor in two required courses and staffed the Christy Houston Foundation Drug Information Center, answering clinical drug information questions from various providers across the area. Dr. Cook served as a clinical expert during her time at Aegis and performed tasks such as method research for laboratory process improvements and discussion of toxicology testing reports and principles of drug metabolism.

Dr. Cook now serves as the Clinical Information Manager for Pharmacy Services at HealthTrust, in partnership with Belmont University College of Pharmacy. She provides toolkits, evidence reviews, monographs, and more to over 1600 hospitals and has implemented an on-demand drug information service available to all HealthTrust member facilities. Dr. Cook also co-directs a 2-year fellowship program focused in corporate leadership, management, and drug information.
