Study Abroad

The Global Leadership Studies (GLS) major is as much about experiencing the world as it is about engaging in the classroom through dialogue and content of international relevance. As part of the major, you will be required to participate on a study abroad experience that can range from spending 3 to 4 weeks on a Belmont faculty-led Maymester or Summer program to spending a full semester or academic year abroad. Belmont offers program opportunities in over 30 countries that span the globe. Students can also engage in unique program models that incorporate internships and service-learning as credit-bearing opportunities. You are expected to complete a minimum of one course (3 hours) of study outside the United States. The course can be applied to your general education requirements or your major.
