Christopher Redlich

Biography
Mr. Christopher R. Redlich, Jr. spent his childhood on the San Francisco Peninsula. Chris is a graduate of Stanford University, where he obtained a BA in Political Science. After graduating from Stanford, he completed the Harvard Business School’s OPM Program.
Chris began his professional career at Marine Terminals Corporation, at an entry-level position. After working his way up through the company, while holding many positions in different locations, he was named President and Chairman of the Board. During his tenure, MTC became the largest contract stevedore and ocean terminal operator in the United States. Chris went on to serve as the Chairman of Embarcadero Systems and a Director of Embarcadero Insurance.
Drawing from his professional experience and aligning his personal interests in science, math, physics, and chemistry, Chris now focuses on philanthropic endeavors. He serves on the Board of Trustees of Gladstone Institutes; is a Member of the Board of Overseers of the Hoover Institution; and serves on the Chairman’s Advisory Board of Hudson Institute. He also dedicates his time and his resources to mentoring promising graduate students who might lead in the future.
Chris served as a member of the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research Advisory Board; served on the Board of Directors of Stanford Health Care and Chair of its Finance Committee; was a member of the Leadership Council of Conservation International; served as Chair of the Hoover Institution Library & Archives; and served on the Board of Trustees of the American Museum of Natural History.
