Biography
Chairman David Jarrard is nationally recognized as one of healthcare’s most respected communications consultants and senior leadership advisors.
He’s advised C-suites and boards for more than three decades while building one of the nation’s premier communications consultancies devoted to helping healthcare leaders address their thorniest challenges.
He’s launched, led or been an executive partner at multiple, thriving public relations and public affairs agencies and led the 2020 sale of Jarrard Inc. to Chartis, a Blackstone-invested healthcare management consulting firm.
David is recognized by healthcare leaders and advisors for his counsel in mergers and acquisitions, crisis communications and issue management, and for helping leaders successfully navigate the deeply political nature of their complex organizations and markets.
David’s been named a “Health Care Hero” multiple times by The Nashville Business Journal, is the author of the popular “Quick Think” industry column, a contributor to The Governance Institute, the Forbes Business Council, and a guest speaker and collegiate lecturer on leadership, healthcare and communications.
He is a past board member of the Public Relations Council of America, a past member of the teaching faculty of the AHA’s Society of Healthcare Strategic and Market Development (SHSMD), and an advisor to Siloam Health.
David began his career as a reporter covering the late-night police beat in those halcyon days when people learned about their world by picking up their daily newspaper from the driveway.
He has two happy adult children and one up-start, four-year-old granddaughter.
