Biography

Natalie Dickson serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer and previously held the roles of Chief Medical Officer and Chief Strategy Officer for Tennessee Oncology, PLLC, one of the nation’s largest community-based oncology practices and a member of the OneOncology network. With more than 25 years of experience in a Hematology-Oncology practice, Dr. Dickson has played a key role in expanding Tennessee Oncology’s supportive services and is now leading the practice’s growth into new regions and specialties, including gynecologic oncology, breast surgery, surgical oncology, and other surgical areas. Her leadership focuses on championing evidence-based clinical practice, delivering efficient, high-quality care, and optimizing clinical information systems to enhance patient safety, experience, and consistent clinical performance across 50 clinical sites. She is deeply committed to fostering collaboration and cultivating strong internal and external relationships, ensuring Tennessee Oncology’s mission of providing the highest quality of care remains central to its growth. 

Dr. Dickson is the visionary behind the McKay Institute for Oncology Transformation, an innovative start-up within Tennessee Oncology designed for oncologists and administrators committed to advancing oncology care. The McKay Institute fosters leadership, entrepreneurial opportunities, clinical support for businesses and investment ventures, and healthcare delivery research, creating a collaborative environment where oncology leaders can both care for patients and innovate. This unique ecosystem attracts top talent and strengthens Tennessee Oncology as a hub for groundbreaking advancements in cancer care. 

She sits on the board of OneOncology the network of high functioning independent community practices. She previously served as the Chair for OneOncology’s OneCouncil, the committee of physician leaders to identify best practices and to leverage the unified clinical, operational, and financial platforms to scale these practices across the network to maintain high quality care. Having served on various American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) volunteer committees, she is the past chair of the Clinical Practice and serves as ASCO’s liaison to the American Society of Hematology Committee on Practice. 

A diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine, she holds certification for Medical Oncology and Hematology, as well as Internal Medicine. She participates in clinical research and is published in leading medical journals. She maintains associations with multiple medical specialty societies, local and national associations that promote education, advocacy, patient safety and policy changes.  

She earned her medical degree at the University of the West Indies, Jamaica. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at the University of Virginia, her Medical Oncology fellowship at Georgetown University, and Hematology fellowship at Vanderbilt University. She earned a Master of Management in healthcare at Vanderbilt University Owen Graduate School of Management. 

Having called Nashville home for over 25 years, she is actively involved in local oncology support groups. She and her husband are the proud parents of three children.
