University Marketing & Communications (UMAC) is responsible for developing and implementing strategic marketing and communication plans to promote the University and its initiatives. The UMAC Team manages the University's brand and image, creates and distributes marketing materials, coordinates media relations, and oversees digital and social media content. The team works closely with faculty, staff, students and alumni to share and promote news and stories about campus life, academic programs, research, and community partnerships. They also guide and support university departments and units in developing their marketing and communication strategies.

Project Request Forms

For new design projects or edits to existing pieces, please submit a project via the Design Project Request Form in Asana.

For reprints of existing projects, please submit a request via the Reprint Request Form in Asana. 

For minor website updates including addition of pages, images and copy to an existing website, please submit a support ticket on FreshDesk, our digital team’s ticket management system.

For new websites and major updates to a current site, please submit a project via the Web Project Request Form in Asana.

For new emails and email templates, please submit a project via the the Email Project Request Form in Asana.

For content writing and news story requests, please complete the Content Request Form in Asana. 

To schedule a photoshoot with our campus photographer, please email Sam Simpkins, our University Photographer.

Submitting a request does not guarantee our attendance. To enhance the efficiency of the process, kindly include as many details as possible in your request:

Important Notes:  

Photoshoot opportunities should be requested at least two weeks prior to an event, and more advance notice is appreciated for weekend and after-business hours’ events. The University Photographer’s responsibility is to shoot Belmont events and activities that have broad visual appeal such as those referenced below: 

  • Major University events - this includes Commencement
  • Images that have potential to be included in Belmont News coverage as well as major University publications
  • Images that could be used as hero images on the University website home page
  • Images to be used in University-approved printed marketing materials that are being designed by Creative Services
  • Campus stock photography and faculty/staff headshots

How to Find Photos:

All University images are placed in an online photo gallery and are available to be downloaded for departmental, communication and marketing needs.
