Dee Young

CISO at UNC Health

Dee Young is the Chief Information Security Officer for the UNC Health, an integrated health system in North Carolina. UNC Health includes 14 hospitals, an academic medical center and more than 1000+ clinics and physician practices. Dee leads the UNC Health Information Security team and is responsible for cybersecurity technical operations, information security compliance, research programs and cyber risk management efforts that protect UNC Health staff, patients and partners, while ensuring the overall cyber resiliency of the system. Dee also has extensive experience in Emergency Preparedness and Response and is on several national committees and boards within the cybersecurity sector.

TJ Bean

AVP of CyberSecurity, HCA Healthcare

TJ has more than twenty years experience in technology, including more than thirteen in cybersecurity. He was the main architect and builder of HCA Healthcare’s Cyber Defense Center, SIEM tool, Cyber Intelligence program, automated vulnerability scanning program, Governance, Risk and Compliance tool. TJ is very active in the community, serving as a member of the board for the Health - ISAC and leads HCA’s participation in MITRE’s cybersecurity programs.

David Vasil

CyberSecurity Threat Engineering Architect, HCA Healthcare

David is a senior subject matter expert on HCA Healthcare’s cybersecurity team. He is deeply involved in threat intelligence and the development of threat-driven defenses. He also has a lead role in HCA’s partnership with MITRE in cybersecurity research. David Previously worked in cybersecurity at Bridgestone, Walgreens and Oak Ridge National Laboratory.

Stacey Halota

VP Information Security and Privacy, Graham Holdings (formerly Washington Post Company)

Stacey Halota leads the development and implementation of information security and privacy programs at GHC, including Sarbanes Oxley, privacy law, Payment Card Industry compliance and other data protection efforts. She has more than 25 years of experience in the information technology, security and privacy field. In addition to her current role at Graham Holdings, she served in the federal government at the Department of State, was a senior manager in the PricewaterhouseCoopers Technology Risk Services consulting practice and was southeast region consulting services leader of Guardent (now part of Verisign).

Derrick Lowe, CISSP

AVP and CISO, Orlando Health

A CISO with 30 years of management and leadership experience with 20+ years dedicated to information technology, Derrick previously served in the US Cyber Command and US Army. He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional.

Nancy Brainerd

Senior Director and Deputy CISO, Medtronic

Nancy Brainerd currently holds the Deputy CISO role and leads the Cyber Defense function within the Global Security Office at Medtronic, where she also serves as the co-Chair of the Women in IT (WIIT) hub of the Medtronic Women’s Network.

Lisa O’Connor

Managing Director of Accenture Security, Cybersecurity Research and Development and Accenture Labs; Accenture

Lisa leads Global Security Research and Development at Accenture Labs. In this role, she curates and manages a portfolio of cyber research, including threat intelligence, advanced cyber hunting, orchestration for resilient cyber architectures, edge analytics, analytics and machine learning, active defense and security of the Industrial Internet of Things.

Judith leads the education and communications, risk management, data governance, mergers and acquisitions security integration and program management areas for HCA Healthcare’s Cybersecurity, Privacy and Physical Security programs.

Sarah Richardson

Sarah currently serves as the SVP, Chief Digital and Information Officer for Tivity Health, a leading provider of healthy life-changing solutions, including SilverSneakers®, Prime® Fitness, WholeHealth Living® and Burnalong®. She has built award-winning teams and has been recognized by The Kansas City Business Journal as a ‘Woman Who Means Business’, a “Next Gen Leader’ and ‘Rising Star’ by KC Business Magazine, an ‘Outstanding Executive’ by Advancing Women in Technology and an OnCon Top10 Technology Professional. Bill Rutherford

Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO), HCA Healthcare

William B. Rutherford is chief financial officer and executive vice president of Nashville, Tennessee-based HCA Healthcare, one of the nation’s leading providers of healthcare services. As CFO, Rutherford has management responsibility for the company’s Treasury Department, Office of the Controller, Information Technology, Investor Relations and HealthTrust Purchasing Group.

A 34-year veteran of HCA Healthcare, Rutherford joined the company as a Staff Auditor in 1986. He served the company in a variety of roles, including director of operations support and chief financial officer for the Georgia Division. From 1996 to 2005, Rutherford was chief financial officer for the Eastern Group. During this time, the Eastern Group comprised approximately 90 hospitals with $12 billion of net revenue. In 2005, Rutherford left HCA Healthcare to start his own training and education company which led to work with several private equity ventures. Rutherford returned to HCA Healthcare in December 2008, serving as chief financial officer of the Outpatient Services Group through January 2011. In this role, he was responsible for HCA Healthcare’s company-wide operations of freestanding outpatient facilities to include ambulatory surgery centers, diagnostic imaging and cancer center operations. This also included physician services to support both hospital and outpatient strategies.

Prior to his current appointment, Rutherford served as COO of the Clinical and Physician Services Group, helping to provide leadership oversight of physician employment, recruiting and practice management for over 3,000 providers.
