Biography
Alex Scherr (OTD, OTR/L) serves as an Assistant Professor in the MSOT and OTD programs. Alex is an alumna of Belmont University, where she has earned her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy and Bachelor of Science in Psychology. For the past 8 years she has specialized in adult rehabilitation and has practiced in a variety of adult-based occupational therapy settings including acute care and inpatient rehabilitation. Alex’s professional interests include healthcare simulation, interprofessional education and interventions for neurological and visual impairments. Outside of work, Alex enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 children. As a former student-athlete at Belmont University, Alex can often be found cheering on the Nashville Soccer Club with her family.
