Biography

Allie Horick is an interdisciplinary artist and educator living in her hometown of Nashville, TN. She earned a BA in environmental arts and humanities from the University of the South in 2015 and an MFA in visual art from Watkins College of Art at Belmont University in 2022. Allie has worked in a wide variety of educational settings, including time as a wilderness instructor in the backwoods of Minnesota and leading community-based photography work in Grundy County, TN and New Haven, CT. Her artistic work connects to her interest in the environment and explores relationships, both familial and ecological, that reveal entanglements between ourselves, others, and the more-than-human world.
