Amy Hodge

Biography

Amy Hodge moved to Nashville to pursue graduate studies in Vocal Pedagogy at Belmont University. Captivated by the city and the opportunities at Belmont, she has proudly called Nashville home ever since. She currently serves as Assistant Budget Manager and Program Assistant for the School of Occupational Therapy, where she excels in streamlining processes, managing financial operations, and overseeing course registration. She is also a member of the CPHS Dean's Advisory Council.

Throughout her tenure at Belmont, Amy has held a variety of roles, with the bulk of her time as director and vocal coordinator of Belmont Academy, the university’s community and pre-college music program.  She continues to teach through Belmont Academy, other local pre-college programs, and private instruction. Recognized multiple times as Teacher of the Year by the Tennessee Governor’s School for the Arts, she also serves as an adjudicator for festivals and competitions. Her passion for vocal health and injury prevention is deepened by collaborations with occupational therapy faculty and students.

A first-generation college graduate, Amy understands the transformative power of education and is passionate about helping students access similar opportunities. She is especially committed to exposing elementary and secondary school students to the collegiate experience, hoping to help them with the confidence, knowledge and desire to pursue higher education. In 2021, she was selected for the Leadership in Public Education cohort through the Nashville Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, as a long-time mentor with tnAchieves, she continues to support and guide students through their college application process.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Amy finds joy and balance with her husband and their three active children. She is fullfilled by seeing others succeed and considers it a privilege to contribute to collaborate and grow alongside them.
