Biography
Angela Lane, DNP, CPNP, RN is an Associate Professor in the Gordon E. Inman College of Nursing at Belmont University, where she is deeply committed to forming nurses who think critically, lead ethically, and practice with compassion. She teaches undergraduate nursing and interdisciplinary courses, including first-year seminars, with an emphasis on professional identity formation and holistic care across the lifespan.
Dr. Lane brings a strong clinical foundation in pediatric nursing, including neonatal intensive care and advanced practice roles. Her teaching is shaped by trauma-informed principles and a belief that effective nursing education must attend not only to skills and knowledge, but also to character, reflection, and relational care.
Her scholarly interests include innovative teaching strategies, professional identity formation, and the ethical integration of emerging technologies—particularly artificial intelligence—into nursing education. She is actively engaged in curriculum design, faculty development, and research initiatives that support quality, safety, and meaningful learning experiences for students.
Grounded in Belmont University’s Christ-centered mission, Dr. Lane views teaching as a relational and formative endeavor, seeking to create learning environments where students are challenged, supported, and invited to grow into thoughtful professionals prepared to serve others with excellence and integrity.
