Beth Bowman

Biography

Belmont is my home! I grew up in Nashville and attended Belmont to study Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics. After graduating, I pursued my PhD in Biochemistry, Cell, and Developmental Biology at Emory University where I studied transcriptional regulation in C. elegans. I worked at Vanderbilt University from 2015-2021 in doctoral admissions, student support, summer undergraduate program development, and I developed a statistics and introductory R programming course. At Belmont, I am excited to be serving as the Pre-Health Advisor and Director of Undergraduate Research.

In my personal life, I started dating my husband while a student at Belmont and we were married right after graduating. He is now a physician in Nashville and we are blessed to be raising our incredible young children, Katie, Jon, Matt, and Jenny. We hope they will become Bruins as well!
