Biography
Dr. Dustin Rumbaugh is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Belmont University's Massey College of Business, where he specializes in labor economics, industrial organization, and the economics of education. His recent research has been published in The Review of Black Political Economy and the Journal of Sports Economics. Dr. Rumbaugh has recently presented research at the Western Economic Association International and the Eastern Economic Association conferences, with recent work focusing on hate crimes, human capital, and competition in concert ticket markets. In addition to his individual research interests, he serves as a Consulting Editor for the journal Hospital Topics.
Dr. Rumbaugh focuses his teaching on courses in Econometrics, Forecasting, and Regression Analysis, helping students build strong analytical and quantitative skills. He enjoys sponsoring student research projects, guiding them as they explore complex economic questions and present their findings at conferences and symposia. His advised projects have been presented at Issues in Political Economy, the American Enterprise Institute, and BURS.
In his free time, Dr. Rumbaugh enjoys playing arcade games from the golden era of arcade gaming. His top score in Burger Time is just outside the current top 10 worldwide scores according to Twin Galaxies.
